Throughout the late 50’s to the mid 70’s more and more people were getting creative with gardening. Flowers were very popular, and people were taking advice from books, and then looking towards the television for inspiration.

More recently, gardening  is going back to its roots and vegetable gardens have become popular again. More and more people are reducing lawn area, growing vegetables and creating wildlife refuges.

What we want from our gardens is evolving. They are no longer just spaces for recreation. Now we want them to perform useful functions for us too.
