June 18th 2015 is a huge day for coordinated global action on climate change. Live Earth will join together 100 artists on seven continents to mobilize one billion voices calling for action. If Live Earth is the passion moving our hearts then Climathon is the brain – backing up the surging emotions with ideas, solutions and the technology to make it happen.

The Climathon is a 24-hour hackathon-style climate change event organised by Climate-KIC that will take place simultaneously in major cities in Asia, Oceania, Europe and South – and North America. The challenge is to create software, apps and business models that help transform cities into part of the solution – acting to stabilise our atmosphere and support the healthy functioning of the biosphere.
